The ancient town of Carbonarola houses the Oratory of San Lorenzo, better known as "La Cesola". The building was erected on the ruins of an earlier Roman temple, which then became an early Christian votive capital, and includes a "Madonna on the chair", a suggestive work of an unknown author. The chapel is located on a beautiful natural terrace with breath-taking panoramic views, overlooking the entire Val Liona. Every year on the fourth Sunday after Easter, it hosts a festival with ancient historical traditional games.
